Recycled polypropylene is the engineering answer when recycled PE is too soft for the job. Honest limitations

— The seal window is narrower and hotter than PE — we validate seal settings on your filling line before production.

— rPP is more brittle at deep-freeze temperatures; for frozen goods below −10 °C, consider rPE or a coex structure.

— Like all PCR films, clarity decreases as recycled content rises; 100% PCR rPP is not crystal-clear.

Decide by stiffness and temperature. If the bag must hold its shape, hang, or resist creasing — or if your filling environment exceeds ~70 °C — choose rPP. If you need the widest seal window, the lowest cost, or deep-freeze performance, choose rPE. Send us your product and packing method; an engineer will confirm the choice with samples.

Where certified feedstock allows, yes — but we recommend validating optics and mechanicals with samples first, as high-PCR rPP shows more haze and gel specks than high-PCR rPE. Most retail programmes run 30–70% PCR as the practical balance.
